Thunder/Lightning Policy For Our Pools
Recent weather issues have had some of our Members asking us about our Thunder/Lightning Policy for the pools. Our policy is as stated: "At the first sound of thunder or first sight of lightning, immediately evacuate the pools. Wait 30 minutes after the last lightning sighting or sound of thunder before allowing people back in the pool." We are following best practices from the National Lightning Safety Institute. This guidance was provided to us by the Northbridge Board of Health and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. For more information check out the National Lightning Safety Institute's suggestions: http://lightningsafety.com/nlsi_pls/swimming_pools.html

Please remember that due to Cars In The Park:
The Employee Parking Lot, and Upper Whitin Park will be CLOSED beginning at 12:00pm Friday, August 17th and will reopen on Sunday, August 19th at 6:00am

In case of inclement weather:
Check this web site or call 508.234.8184 for info about cancelled classes or Community Center closings.
